MetaTrader 5 is a free finance app that enables you to trade in various markets. Developed by MetaQuotes Software Corp., this institutional multi-asset platform is great for Forex and Stock markets, allowing you to work anywhere in the world and on any device. MetaTrader 5 offers technical analysis tools, automated trading systems, and copy trading. It functions as your all-in-one platform trading—however, it does not provide financial services or access to MetaTrader 5 platform servers and databases managed by financial companies. You also need to be cautious with trading despite the automated features you can use.

Trade anywhere

MetaTrader 5 focuses on comfort and a multi-functional interface. You can choose to either use a demo account for trading or start using your own brokerage account. Available for both desktop and mobile, this finance program enables you to trade 24/7. It has real-time quotes of Forex, CFD, Futures, Options, and Stock markets, letting you keep an eye on the charts as they continuously fluctuate at any given time of the day. 

You can switch quickly between financial instruments on the charts, customize their color schemes, and easily see the trade levels, and SL and TP values. For orders, you get a full set of trade orders and pending orders. Unfortunately, the ability to open charts by swiping on currency pairs is no longer available. However, you can still do all types of trade execution and see your full detailed online trading history. You can also access level II prices with up to 32 quotes. 

MetaTrader 5’s advanced features include sound notifications, a built-in market for trading robots, trading signals, a Virtual Hosting service, free financial news, and its MQL5.community chat support. If you want to analyze the data, this platform has interactive real-time Forex and Stock charts—with zoom and scroll, although the mobile version’s vertical mode skews the charts—30 technical indicators, 24 analytical objects, 9 timeframes, and 3 types of charts. MetaTrader 5’s reliability is hit-and-miss at times, but it does offer versatile tools at your disposal.
